How AI-assisted dispute resolution works on SettleBetween
A guided process that makes room for both sides. You stay in control at every step.
01 · Explain the situation
Create a free draft. Tell us who is involved, where you are, what happened and what outcome you want. Upload documents privately. Your AI adviser can help you organize your account; review any suggestions yourself.
02 · Invite the other party
Review the exact invitation and localized agreement fee before activating free. Activation never sends an invitation automatically. Approve a link, printable letter or configured email delivery yourself. The recipient joins for free after access checks.
03 · Explore solutions
Submit the statements and individual files you choose to share. Once both parties contribute, a separate AI mediator analyzes a fixed snapshot of shared information. Your private conversations stay separate. You can respond, propose a compromise or leave voluntarily.
04 · Review and sign
Build specific terms together. Both parties must approve the exact same version before signing. Changes reset approvals; signing locks the version. A signed agreement ends negotiation, while completion of its obligations is tracked separately.
What the AI can and cannot do
AI can help organize your account, identify questions and suggest possible terms. It can misunderstand evidence or make mistakes. It does not decide who is legally right, impose an outcome, act as your lawyer or guarantee that an agreement is enforceable. You remain responsible for reviewing suggestions and deciding whether to accept terms.
What you control
Each person has a private adviser conversation. You select the statements and files to submit to the shared discussion. The shared mediator uses that approved shared record, not your private preparation. Review material before sharing because information already viewed or downloaded cannot be recalled. An invitation or a proposal does not mean the other person has agreed.
When another route may be needed
A voluntary discussion is not suitable for every situation. Threats, coercion, urgent protection needs or a required official procedure may call for specialist support. SettleBetween does not serve court papers, pause outside deadlines or automatically enforce a signed agreement. Availability depends on both parties’ locations and the dispute type.
